Posts page 404 error > page not found

Hi all,

have an odd issue: have set the reading settings to point to a specific page for blog posts. This unfortunately results in a 404 error as the system can’t seem to find the page.

I’ve tried fixing this in the following ways:

1. changing the blog page to something else. (no fix)
2. deleting the blog page and recreating (no fix)

I’m totally at a loss as to how to fix this and would love some help ??
