Difficulty with complex event plugin

We are currently using the Timely All in One Event Calendar on the linked page. Basically I only wanted this plugin to work on the calendar page.
After selectively loading it on the main pages and also am “affecting children”, the plugin mostly works, but there are a few things that don’t work as usual.
For one, when hovering above the events, they used to have a mini-window appear, but it no longer does.
Second, when switching the months on the calendar, it used to just re-load in the plugin space, but now it opens in an entirely new page.
Is there any way to correct this? Ultimately it’s worth losing these features if it means preventing this plugin from running on every page, but if possible a fix would be nice.
