    Hi guys,

I\m wondering whether it’s the theme’s issue, but here it is:

When I create a single post layout with Elementor Pro, it doesn’t apply to the theme, your customizer seems to override it somehow. Whereas custom header, footer and archive layouts work just fine. Any ideas where I can have a look under the hood? ))

  • Hi @zatrix,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I tried to replicate this issue on my local environment but I couldn’t so I’m gonna need some more information from you.
Can you confirm that you are using the latest version of Elementor ( 2.3.4 ), Elementor Pro ( 2.2.3 ) and Neve ( 1.0.19 )?
What steps did you follow when you created your template?

In my case I did this:
    1. Dashboard -> Elementor -> My Templates -> Add New
    2. https://prntscr.com/lqkr7k
    3. I’ve selected any default template that Elementor Pro offer then I’ve clicked the insert button
    4. I’ve changed the page layout https://prntscr.com/lqktd7
    5. I’ve selected where to display the layout and publish the template https://prntscr.com/lqkudq

Can you tell me if you see any errors in the console?
Can you share the PHP version on your server?
    What’s your WP version?
What other plugins do you have?

Another idea, make sure you don’t change the page/post template when you add a new page/post. When you create an Elementor template, you overwrite the “Default template”. If you edit your post and change the template ( https://prntscr.com/lqlb8w ) the template from Elementor will not apply so make sure the template is on “Default template”. If you want to change the page template, do it from Elementor ( step 4 from the previous comment ).

    Hi!

I came across the same problem today and I couldn’t resolve it with this thread here. Can you help me out? The customizer seems to overwrite the Elementor Pro Single Post Template.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Luca

Hello – I am also facing this issue.

The Customiser doesn’t show the elements for the layout of a single post (also the meta for the blog layout).

This means the posts appear completely blank.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kindest
    Marcus

    HI @marcuslange ,

Try clicking on the settings to see the post options – https://prntscr.com/n6w48y.

Hey thanks @vishakha but I can’t see the screen capture unfortunately?

can you describe which settings I’m looking at, or upload to a different link?

Thought I’d attach this too for reference

As you can see the LHS customiser doesn’t show the options as it should.

    Hi @marcuslange,
Any plugins that may cause this? Can you try deactivating them and see if the error persist? Also, can you tell me if there are any errors in the console? ( in Chrome, right click, inspect and there should be a Console tab )

    Hey @cristian-ungureanu

Okay, so I have deactivated all plugins and reactivated – I have also uninstalled the theme completely and reinstalled to try and get it to default back to the original state.

See screenshot of console inspect below:

@marcuslange is your site local or can you share a link?

    @cristian-ungureanu

It’s local, hosted on my web guy’s server, but the’r developers haven’t any time until next week to look at it, so came here for any possible answers.

When you deactivated the plugins did you try to see if there is the same problem ( with all the plugins deactivated ) or did you just deactivate and reactivate them back? Also, can you check that you have the last version of the theme? Are you using a child theme? Do you know what version of PHP your server have?

I did check and it didn’t seem to make a difference? seemed to happen after I added a sidebar to the main blog page, but switching it back made no difference.

All themes and WP is latest version and PHP I would assume is up to latest as managed third party by flywheel

@marcuslange the only way I can help you is if you are willing to share with me your local data. If you agree, the easiest way is to install on your local UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugin, Click on Settings after you install the plugin and generate a backup. After the backup is done, you’ll have something like this: https://prntscr.com/n6xu8y . Click on each button and download each file ( you’ll have more than one button ). Upload them on Drive or Dropbox and send me a link on my personal email. That way I can have on my local what you have and I can debug it properly.

Okay thanks @cristian-ungureanu I’ll check with my hosts for permissions and I can do this later on this evening and email you direct.

    M
