Auto email not sending

Hi all, just installed your email plugin. Set up a custom email template for role changing and configured the auto responder email function. However i cannot get it to actually send an email when i change the role of a customer.
It does send an email when i choose this option for single email sending.What am i doing wrong? I cant find the saved setting for that autoresponder email after saving either.
What i want is for the plugin to send the custom template email to a certain user, as soon as the role is changed for that user.
How does this work? Hopefully you can help me.
