Works on a multi-language site !

I use 2 languages on my site. Most articles are in English, but I’ve also written some posts in my own language for local users. I browsed trough all the translate plugins to find a solution. The one I installed did not work very good. Also searched with Google, but no luck. Using a translate tool for multi-language sites and using ‘detect language’ is often discouraged.

I decided to give WP Translate a try. Up until now it seems to work great! The default language setting is ‘Detect language’ and this seems to work fine. This plugin is really simple and easy to use. I like the Google toolbar look, which makes it look reliable (which it also is).

The description page of this plugin could be better however. There are no screenshots and the demo wasn’t very helpful either. To me it wasn’t clear that there are actually 2 modes: The Google Toolbar mode and the drop down menu mode with country flags.

Sofar I’m happy. For me there’s no need for creating a complicated multi-language site wit database edits etc. This light weight simple plugin does it all (except SEO). I give it 5 stars.
