Images Appear Square Automatically in Draft and Publish

    When trying to insert images into the content area, the images are “cropping” to square 1:1 ratio….but they are uploading in the size I want them sized at, this is only happening when I try to insert the media into the content. Once I hit publish the images also appears “cropped” to square. But the files themselves are NOT cropped. This is the first post I have had an issue with an haven’t been able to fix it in two weeks.

    I have already deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one, even with ALL my plugins deactivated this issue is still there. I have checked my media settings. Again, the image files upload at the correct size/ratio but only appear to be cropped in draft and then after publish.

    Please help!

    When you add an image to the post, what size are you picking?

    Umm. The square thumbnail. ?????♀? That is NEVER autoselected so I never thought to check that! I always overlook it. Thanks!
