• Hello,
I create voiceovers and add music in the background. I offer buyers the opportunity to select their music from a list of music tracks. Often, a buyer will click from one play button to the next one very fast and suddenly, the play buttons do not work anymore. Is there a solution to this? This plugin is one of the best out there and I’d like to keep it but the minute a buyer leaves my site because the music stops playing, I lose them, F O R E V E R.

I thank you for your reply.

Hi, have you enabled the following feature Disable Simultaneous Play:? This is located under Settings -> SC Audio Player in admin?

    Thank you for your reply.

I did check as you suggested above and yes, I have enabled “Disable Simultaneous Play”.

The issue I am having is that while a buyer can click the play button for about 7 tracks or so, when they get to the 8th track, the play button for that 8th track will not play and neither will any other play button for any other track.

Here is a page where you can test it: https://ezrasvoice.com/ezras_home_page_sliders/music-classical/

If you click the play buttons at a normal rate in succession, you will see that, at some point, you will not be able to click them anymore.

I await your suggestions. Many thanks,
    Ezra

Note, I also have a plugin that was built for gravity forms on this same website that also features the music tracks and there too, the same issue is present.

Hi, can you disable the following feature Disable Simultaneous Play:? Then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Hi,
Again, many thanks for your prompt replies.

Okay, I disabled “Disable Simultaneous Play: (I unchecked the box) and the problem got worse. Instead of the play buttons not working when a buyer pressed the 8th play button, the play buttons stopped working when I clicked on the 3rd play button.

    In need of serious help,

    Okay lets try something different.

Disable your other plugins except this one and carry out a test. Let me know what happens. Also do you have a cache plugin installed in your site? If you do, have you excluded the pages with the audio files from being cached?

    Hi,

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think I should address the Caches first, then do the disabling.

Okay, Re: a cache plugin, I have W3 Total Cache, and WP Super Cache installed. I do not know how to exclude the pages with the audio files from being cached? (Is this something I should do?)

Yes that is a brilliant idea ??

Okay, Re: a cache plugin, I have W3 Total Cache, and WP Super Cache installed.

Having two cache plugins might be causing this issue. You should only use one or the other. Choose which one works best for you and delete the other cache plugin.

All cache plugins have an option that allows you to exclude a URL (Page or Post) from being cached.

    Hi,

I added another just two days ago because the issue presented itself. I can remove one. Is there one you recommend that I keep over the other?

Also, I am not clear if I should exclude or include a URL from being cached? And if am suppose to do exclude it, how do I do that? (Note: one of the pages that is giving me issues is from the Gravity Forms plugin that i have on my website)

    Thank you,

That would be a great choice. I don’t use either one but you should choose one that works really well for your current set up.

Also, I am not clear if I should exclude or include a URL from being cached?

In this case you should exclude a URL from being cached.

(Note: one of the pages that is giving me issues is from the Gravity Forms plugin that i have on my website)

Just for testing purposes, can you add a test page with no gravity form and add the same shortcode you are currently using. Then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Thank you,

Where do I put the URL that I want excluded? Is there some language I should look for in the plugin that would indicate where I can exclude certain pages?

    A million thanks again.

    Hi,

Where do I put the URL that I want excluded?

Which cache plugin did you decide to keep out of the two you had?

Thank you. I will give it a go and let you know.

One last thought… I looked up what caching means and it seemed as though having all of my music cached would be a good thing as it would be automatically ready for a user to hear rather than causing the site to go and retrieve the music. Am I wrong?

Okay, I will update you.. Many many thank for your support.

    Regards
