• It says “Display multiple feeds from any public Facebook page” but doesn’t say you need to get a Facebook token. Not impressed.

    Hi @andoverit,

Thanks for your feedback. To clarify, it’s not possible for any plugin to access Facebook’s API without an Access Token. The great thing about our plugin though is that we make it super simple to obtain one. You don’t need to set up a Facebook Developer account or create a Facebook App like with other plugins, you simply click the Login button inside our plugin and log into Facebook. Here’s our 1 minute setup guide which shows just how easy it is.

Again, every plugin requires a Facebook Access Token in order to access Facebook. If you come across a plugin which doesn’t require one then they’re either illegally scraping Facebook’s website or are violating their platform terms in some other way – neither of which is good.

While we certainly appreciate your feedback, to rate the plugin so poorly based on something which is a requirement for any plugin of this kind seems a little harsh ?? Especially as we’ve worked so hard to ensure the setup process is super easy for our users, no matter their technical ability.

Many thanks, and hope you’re having a good weekend.

@andoverit – just to follow up as I didn’t mention this above, but to clarify further, you do not need an Access Token for a specific Facebook page in order to display it. You can display any Facebook page just using your own Facebook Access Token. So I can use my own Facebook Access Token to display feeds from yours, or anyone else’s, Facebook page, which is why we say “Display multiple feeds from any public Facebook page” in the plugin description.
