Help for anyone who has had some roles suddenly stop working

Firstly – love this plugin; thank you. Can’t find another post reporting this so thought I’d include my workaround with it in a hope to save folks some time in troubleshooting this problem.

This week we discovered that permissions assigned to some of our roles stopped working. I narrowed this down to the plugin no longer liking role shortcodes that contained a special character with a space on both sides.

To get around this I recreated each role, editing the shortcode containing only a single underscore between each word. I then filtered each user who had that role; added the new one to them, then deleted the old role. For good measure I’ve implemented this method to be the standard shortcode convention ongoing.
