    Hello Thomas,

Is it possible with this plugin to place ads in the activity stream of groups in BuddyPress?

    Thanks

    Hi harry74,

sorry that I missed your post.

As far as I know, the BuddyPress activity stream is not a WordPress archive page (e.g., like many homepages, category archive, etc.), so this add-on would not work.

I am not entirely sure if the In-feed ads are even allowed in there, since the activity feed is not a typical list of posts.

What would definitely work are our BuddyPress placements in Advanced Ads Pro. See https://wpadvancedads.com/ads-on-buddypress-pages/ for more information.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I’m a bit confused though. If I understand correctly, you’re saying that with Advanced Ads Pro it is possible to place ads in the activity stream of BuddyPress, even though it may not be allowed?

I already knew about the Advanced Ads Pro plugin and I am considering it, but my main concern is if I’ll be able to place ads in the activity stream between posts and I’m not sure if that’s possible. Could you clarify please?

    Thank you,
    Harry

    Hi Harry,

    sorry for the confusion.

AdSense describes on this page what they understand as a “feed”. They don’t list anything like comments or an activity feed. I think it could still qualify as a feed, since items look similar, though. Even if not, it would not be a problem when your site, in general, complies with the AdSense terms.

Advanced Ads Pro has placements dedicated for BuddyPress, see this page. Our placements are neutral regarding the ad type, so you could place anything there.

Bottom line, Advanced Ads Pro has BuddyPress-related placements and placing In-feed or any other AdSense ads shouldn’t be a problem with AdSense.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi Thomas,

Totally understandable, these things are somewhat complicated.

Thank you for all your help, it’s quite clear now. Once my website qualifies for AdSense, I’ll have an in-depth look at Advanced Ads Pro and if I have any pre-purchase questions I’ll let you know.

    Have a nice day.

    Harry
