Emails POST newsletter sent multiple times

We have a recurring email posts that goes out on Fridays at 2:00pm. This has been going off without a hitch for several months now. No settings have been changed or modified but last Friday (November 9th, 2018), the email was sent out twice.
Can anyone tell me what happened and why?
