Duplicator installer.php not working on local

    When i try to run https://localhost/sociallymindful/installer.php it is showing me a load of characters:

    ????z??0????9??3??^?%???Mb?8???L??hB??d?^?i|???W??Vo?,????~^f1tK%?T*U??J??????????c??O???(??L?a?#s?X?u??? K5??k?’????? ??Mo??c?;3?c???????n??aO s??9c?t??=?g?Q??eL???5??8??G????l?????X#?Z1n??k;#cu?0]3?n???{?}??i???4bN?J6??^/??=”}g=?S??=m??Vo6XAP??4?k?M?T?4.J?z?????o??A?????З?9????i??UJ{??J???V??r?a??F?8+????R?8;????a4,??Qd??0??55?+?} ??B?]?o?X0?????F??q?#s???h?P???a???3]1n’6L?? ?V?&c??:?c?????P???v`g?b?9?

    and not running properley not sure why this is.

    I’m using XAMPP for Windows 5.6.24.

    Any help woudl be appreciated.

    Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items in the FAQ that may provide a solution to this issue, this one may get you going.

    ? ? – Browsing to the installer displays PHP code or it won’t download from the Packages screen.

    Thank you yes it did – the installer file must not have downloaded properly so going to it in the cpanel filemanager and downloading it made it work – The archive file wasn’t recognised at first but I think that was because my archive file had archive(1).zip at the end – removing the (1) made it work.

    Hi!, my problem is kind of the same… my site got injected with something, i downloaded a backup to install it locally and when i tried to install it by lunching the installer it redirects to the actual site… which is infected. ( the backup is clean ). any idea how to fix the installer?

    pd: i have no way to access the backend. Thanks in advance.
