We have a strict requirement to not allow basic (legacy) authentication to our Azure AD and this currently breaks the integration with AlexaCRM and Dynamics365. I read that you have added support for federated identities, but are you planning to support Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL)-based sign-ins? Or even allow us to add integration connectivity through Azure AD App integration so for using Service Principals?

    Hi @jankeskanke,

we have v2 in the works as we speak, it’s based on Web API not SOAP. The support for registered apps you’re after is the main method of authentication (we have clientid/secret implemented, certificates are in the pipeline).

    Thanks

So with V2 we can use an AzureAD WebApp and use clientid and secret.. That sounds great. Any timeline you can share?

The library itself has been released (early version, let’s call it feature-incomplete beta ?? ). We’re aiming for the plugin v2 beta by the end of the year, it’ll include upgrade path.
