Activating Polylang Plugin Breaks My Categories Widget Drop Down Menu

  • I have installed the Polylang Plugin. When it is activated, my Categories widget drop down menu stops working. If I deactivate it, the Categories widget drop down menu starts working again.

    The Categories widget drop down menu can be found by clicking the hamburger menu in the upper left-hand corner of the site.

    Also the Language Switcher does’t allow me to change languages (when set to drop down, it only shows ‘English’ (French is the only other option, currently – I’m only trying out the plugin on a test website…) and will not drop down.
