    Hello,

it is also possible to output the original link to the file in the template.

    Here is the scenario:

We have created a template for videos. The videos are hosted on Amazon S3. In the template we have integrated a player for previewing the video. As a video URL, we also use the download link generated by your plugin. e.g. https://xxxx.com/downloads/2387
This also works the preview, that’s not the problem.

But every time the video is viewed, the “Download Monitor” also counts a download. That is also logical, because it is called via this link.

For this reason, the question of whether there is a parameter for the template that outputs the Urspünglichen link (ie the Amazon S3). Or could we implement that with a function?

Many Thanks. Great plugin, we also use some extensions. Thumbs up.

    Kind regards
    Thomas

  • Hey Thomas,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I regret to say that it’s not possible to display the file URL using our shortcode. You will need custom code which is beyond the scope of our support. I would suggest simply placing the link directly.
