Hi there. I’ve just installed and activated The Events Calendar (the free version), and am loving what I see so far. All except for the following: The table of events that comes up when I am in the back end of my website is completely unreadable!

I log into my site dashboard, and click on Events. This brings up a table where I should be able to see all my events. There appear to be several columns: event title (a clickable link), event categories, tags etc. However, the Event Title column is literally only a single character wide! It is totally unreadable. I have only created a couple of events so far, but imagine the problems if I went on to create dozens of events!

How can I edit the column widths please? Or is there another issue that I should know about?

    Please help!

    Thanks.

  • Hi, beckiritson,

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to see what you’re seeing unless you posted a screenshot. And we have a policy of not asking for or accepting credentials from any of our users, so please do not post them here.

Here is an example of what the events list SHOULD look like in the back-end:

If you’d like to share a screenshot of your events list, I’d be happy to try and figure out what’s going on.

P.S. If you need some screenshot software, I recommend Gyazo. It’s free. https://gyazo.com/

Hi Mike, and thanks for the response. I just headed in to take a screenshot, and found that the issue looks to have resolved itself. I’m guessing it must be another conflict issue with the SEO plugins I was using (first Yoast and then the SEO Framework). I deactivated both of these and the table is displaying properly now.

Are these conflicts with SEO plugins irresolvable? In an ideal world, I’d like to be able to use an SEO plugin AND The Events Calenday…

    Thanks for your help.

Hi, Becki. I’m not sure what SEO plugin would be at work in the back-end of the site. Usually those only affect the front-end of a site.

Your best bet is to get in touch with the SEO plugin provider and let them know about this issue. Mention the fact that when you disable their plugin, the issue resolves itself. It may be a bug on their end.

    Good luck!

    Hi Mike,

I’ll try that, thanks. It’s definitely to do with the SEO plugins, as without them, the events table looks fine. The Events Calendar seems to really HATE being used at the same time as SEO plugins, as this isn’t the only problem I’ve encountered. Are there any SEO plugins that you know of, that you would recommend using on a site that also uses The Events Calenday?

    Thanks for your help.
