    Hi Redux,
I am maintaining the provided web shop which is located in Europe.
As you might know the GDPR enforces some strict laws on the use of cookies and to explain the user why certain cookies are used.
I’ve not been able to find documentation on the Redux_blast cookie and its purpose, so I’m asking you to help me understand this.

    What purpose does it serve?

    Kind regards

That is a numeric value that expires every three days. It’s purpose is to let the software know to check our “news blast’ file every three days to see if it’s been updated. News blast is a notice that appears at the top of the admin panel that offers Redux developers (while dev_mode is active) of important news that pertains to Redux.

    Hello,
This answer is helpful for me as well. However I don’t understand why this cookie is placed even if I open our page in an empty browser, without logging in.
Could you please help me? Is there any way to avoid it?

    Thanks,
    Laszlo

The cookie does not affect your users and is disabled as long as you have dev_mode set to false and WP_DEBUG set to false.

Thank you for the information. I noticed this cookie in our dev environment where WP_DEBUG was set to true. After I changed it the cookie disappeared.

    Thanks,
    Laszlo
