show specific page related image in the side bar

Hi

I need some help. I am not a php coder or any kind of decent developer and need help with a function for the sidebar, that I believe is something that can be coded into the sidebar.

basically i am doing this site that needs to have an image shown in the sidebar. That image needs to be linked to a specific page, so that if the user is on the page its shows only that image in the sidebar. So something like…

“if you are the home page, you can see image 1″…
“if you are the about page, you can see image 2″…
and so on.
