Upload database Error message

  • Hi All, I’ve been given site files for a client’s wordpress site and am trying to restore it from these files. When trying to import the sql database to phpmyadmin I get this error message – I’m a complete newbie so have no idea what this means??

  • Hi Jasmin,

    #1046 - No database selected means that you have to tell the database server which database to use before importing the SQL file.

    Create an empty database, select it on the left side of phpMyAdmin and try to import the backup again.
