• When converting an old post to blocks, the editor is duplicating images. It was not like that. This bug is introduced with the 4.0.0 version.

  • Unless, you share your code. None of us can fully grasp the problem

    What code?

I thought it was obvious. Let me break it down, then.

1- Find an old post written with the classic editor which contains images.
    2- Click “Convert to blocks”
3- See: all images are duplicated.

As I wrote before, this bug is introduced with the 4.0 version.

I can confirm this. I have the same problem when converting old posts to blocks. Simple enough to delete the “extra” block, but odd that this has just arisen with the latest Gutenberg update.

    Hi Paul,

I even can’t delete the extra block – how did you manage to delete it?

I click on the second of the duplicated images and then hit the delete/backspace key.

    Oh Ok
I was trying to delete the first one, and it was deleting the block completely. Now I tried to delete the 2nd one and it worked. Thanks.
