How to search only pages, not posts

Is there a way in my Pages section of WordPress to limit my searches (using the search function box) to limit my searches to only WordPress pages and not to include Posts? It is CRAZY this is not an option at least I can’t see. I have hundreds of Posts that clutter my search when looking for a certain page. I have already tried some plugins but haven’t found any – but regardless I would love to hear a defense from WordPress as to why this function is not already integrated into WordPress.
