• I have set a multi-author blog and installed registered-users-only and register plus plugins so that only registered users can visit the site.

The problem I find is that when you enter the site’s url, your are redirected to wp-login and after filling your user and password your are sometimes redirected to the dashboard (wp-admin.php) and sometimes to the front-end (index.php). I would like to be ALWAYS redirected to the frontend after login and don’t know how to do it. I don’t really know what are the reasons you are sometimes redirected to the front and sometimes to the back.
    Any suggestions?

  • I think it is an issue with the registered-only plugin, not with register plus. That being said, I have the same plugins installed on my blog. Perhaps you should check out this plugin

    Peter’s Login Redirect

It plays nice with the two plugins you mentioned above and it’s easy to configure. After installing this plugin on my own blog the problem you mentioned has ceased.

I have noticed, that sometimes, my configuration (Peter’s plugin) seems to vanish, but I suspect it’s because I have updated my permalinks. For the most part, it seems to work great.

My plugin should redirect you back to the page you originally requested as it’s using built-in WordPress functions to do this.
