This site has been running for some time with no issues. However, recently some of the custom post types set up on the site have stopped displaying the single post. I have checked and all the single-posttype.php files are still in the theme’s root folder, and the code in them looks OK.

The funny thing is it does not happen to all the CPTs. For instance, this is also a CPT and displays just fine -https://aerosol-soc.com/members-area/recruitment-opportunities/aerosol-scientist/

I’m even struggling to determine which template *is* being used when you try to display a speaker profile. Even the admin bar doesn’t load for these.

    Any thoughts?

There’s definitely some sort of PHP error going on, that is preventing the rest of the page from loading, but not preventing the page from loading at all.

I can’t say what the source would be, as I don’t have any access at all to things, especially any template files that may be getting used.

I experience the same problem as colmanc. However in my VMware environment the development version of this site doesn’t show the problem until now.

Just managed to resolve this. Turns out it was a php error triggered by a change in how data in a custom field was being stored. Fixed the code to cater for the data issues and all is loading OK again.

    Awesome to hear @colmanc.

@brughjhamvd if you still want/need some support, please start a fresh support thread as this original one has been resolved by the original poster.

As Colmanc did, I also dived into my single-XXX.php code. Did not really found any mistakes! Copied and paste the same code snippets back and forth and strangly thereafter the erroneous pages reappeared again.

Very odd, but sounds like you’re back up and running at this point.
