I’ve installed and uninstalled and installed the plugin several times (also uploading), but nothing in the Settings pane work. Checkboxes cannot be ticked, the ‘Add Region’ or ‘Add City’ buttons do nothing. Nothing works.

Possibly related, there is always a message at the top of the Settings page that reads:

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘debug_mode’ in /home/ofbyfor0/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geotargeting/admin/partials/settings-page.php on line 17

Our site is hosted by SiteGround and uses Cloudflare and SiteGround Cache.

Would like to get this working. Thanks,
    Adam

  • Hello @enpractica,

    Ivan Atanasov from SiteGround here.

I installed the GeoTargeting Lite – WordPress Geolocation plugin on a fresh WordPress application with the intention of helping with your issue.

It appears that the operations you referred to (Add Region; Add City …) are under “Following settings are for premium version only”.
On my installation, the plugin referred me to https://timersys.com/plugins/geotargeting-pro/ to get the premium version.

As for the PHP warning, I would wait for the plugin devs to comment on that as I was not able to reproduce it on my end (using various PHP versions)

Hey Ivan – thanks for the timely reply!

Looked right past that premium version statement. Shocked that the free version literally has no settings. Most limited free plugin I’ve ever found, but oh well. Now I know.
