• Hi, Everyone-

I wanted to share my online portfolio. I specialize in Sound Design and Audio Mixing, and I am also a photographer and music composer. My site is based on the Autofocus theme, but I stripped it of its blogging elements to make it feel more professional. I also changed some text sizes, and made the posts represent recent projects.

This is my first experience with WordPress. My first experience with CSS and PHP and SQL and a lot of other acronyms. As easy as it is, I am surprised with how much I had to dig into the code to customize the theme how I liked. Is there any kind of WYSIWYG way of doing that stuff (theme customization & CSS)?

I’d like any and all feedback. I think the page takes a while to load, and I’d like to know your experiences with that. Also any advice if it is taking a while…if you think it is my server, my pictures, etc. Also let me know if anything looks different on your browsers. I’ve only tested it in firefox and safari, not IE.

Thanks, I look forward to your thoughts!

  • Hi Matt,

    Very nice site!

I too have a site that is based on Autofocus. I’m new to CSS, etc. as well and instead of answering your questions, I only have a few to ask of my own, if you don’t mind…

Particularly, how were you able to change the link at the top right orginally called “Home” to “Blog”? Also, how were you able to change the text sizes? I apologize, but if you are able to give me steps, I would greatly appreciate the help ??

    -Rachel
