Category and Sub-categories Still Empty

    I have uploaded the product with “Add Products from Spreadsheet”. For the format I have also followed the example in “Download Sample Spreadsheet”. But after “adding a new product”, the product does appear but the category and sub-categories are still empty.

    Need your kind to help..

  • Hi nunungsetyawan,

    Before importing, please make sure that any categories and sub-categories are entered in your spreadsheet exactly the same as they are online. Also, note that categories, sub-categories, tags and custom fields are not automatically created on import and need to be created manually before you import them.

    I have uploaded the file according to the given example as follows:

    And in the catalog dashboard in the product category and sub-category products also appeared already:

    But in the categories and sub-categories section does not appear:

    Need your help for the solution and step by step to solve it.

    As we mentioned in our previous reply, the categories are not automatically created by the import process. You need to first manually create the categories in the plugin admin, then do the import.
