auto approve on payment sucsess

    I have purchased this for a project for a customer under the impression that the auto approve was for successful payments.

    So when a successful PayPal payment has been made the request would be approved. Is this possible and am I just missing the setting I need?

    If not could this be added as an option in the menu. ie if payment status is sucsessful set to approved.

    I would like to avoid running a cron job that edits the DB

    We have such functionality, go to Booking Calendar > Themes > General settings and find Auto approval option from this page.

    This approves all bookings even those where the user abandons before checkout. I want only orders with a successful checkout to be approved

    As we don’t have access to another website like PayPal, we can’t be sure that the user finishes the payment process.

    True you don’t have access to a user’s PayPal account but you can create a page to link back to and use the details provided to match things up and mark an event as paid. eBay, Etsy and many other do this so I doubt it’s rocket science. It just needs some effort from your side to come up with and test a working approach.

    Then users need to configure their PayPal accounts correctly and the world will be a better place. If you’re concerned about this last bit then please ensure your documentation/FAQ is updated before deploying new code.

    We will update our plugin and add this feature on upcoming weeks. Unfortunately, we can’t say exactly how much time it will take from us, but we will add this feature(we think within 2-3 weeks).
