    Hi,

I just installed NF on my test subdomain, and noticed that another plugin I have, called Plugin Security Checker, stopped working. This is a plugin that will check whether the code of another plugin has any potential security issues. It just has one link, that opens a popup with information on the plugin being checked. This is now showing a blank page. Since I did not see any entry in the firewall log, I wonder if there’s any way I could manually verify what caused it to stop working. I tried deactivating and re-activating it, but it didn’t work.

Also, after I deactivated the plugin, the option to delete it (or any other deactivated plugin) was not shown in the Plugins page.

Last, on the Firewall Policies > Basic Policies page, there were two options that were unavailable to me:

“Force SSL for admin and logins” and “Disable the plugin and theme editor.”

    Great plugin, thanks!

    Hi,

    Plugin Security Checker, stopped working

Did you enable any options from the “Firewall Policies > Advanced Policies > HTTP response headers”? Maybe they block your plugin (e.g., loading an external image or iframe, connecting to a remote server). You can open your browser console (CRTL + Shift + J) and check if there is anything related to this. For more info, consult this article: https://blog.nintechnet.com/securing-wordpress-with-a-web-application-firewall-ninjafirewall/#http-response-headers

Also, after I deactivated the plugin, the option to delete it (or any other deactivated plugin) was not shown in the Plugins page.

That’s very odd. Is there anything in the firewall log? Do you have another security plugin installed?

Regarding “Force SSL for admin and logins” and “Disable the plugin and theme editor” they are greyed out if they are already defined elsewhere, such as inside your wp-config.php.

    Hi, @nintechnet,

Thank you for the fast response! All solved now.

Re: item one, yes, I had set some of the Advanced Policies. After I reset them to their defaults, the plugin window is now showing. I’ll read the documentation in more detail to see which of these policies I may implement without losing my functionalities.

As for the “delete plugin” links, this was the result of “Disable plugin and theme update/installation DISALLOW_FILE_MODS” on the Basic Policies tab, which I had set while testing/installing and forgot to unset.
