Shortcodes in the widget

    Hi again,

    I’m using your Rcno Recent Reviews and recently came across an issue since im using Amazon Affiliate WordPress Plugin.

    When I place a shortcode in the start of the review which basicly is a referal link in the review is shown correctly but in the widget is shown with the []

    You can see it in my homepage sidebar or below from a smartphone with title “Rese?as recientes de libros”

    That’s a good catch, Manu.
    I will have this fixed in a minor update that I will release tomorrow.

    Hi Kemory, was working on the site when the update notified and after updating the [] is no longer visible but the text inside the shortcode is not shown either.

    Hello again, Manu.
    To fix this issue I used the strip_shortcodes() WordPress function, I didn’t know you want the words inside the shortcode.

    Let me take another look at this.

    Ah sorry, is the Amazon Affiliate WordPress Plugin that uses [] for the shortcodes.

    Is it this plugin https://getaawp.com/ that you are using?

    Side note… WordPress does not process shortcodes inside widgets, so I am trying to figure out a solution for your use case.

    Yes is that plugin exactly.

    Thanks, if not Ill deal with it or try to use shortcodes forward in the text.
