Theme and Home link question

HEllo

Last night I downloaded the Theme and I am having a problem. In the Left, it is supposed to say home. The main reason I added WordPress is to add more depth to my pages.

Can someone tell me why the HOME link on the top left is not working, or visible at that? The link is there, there is just no text. What part of my code do I look in to fix that.

Also, it would be great if someone can point me in the direction of some good CSS/PHP sites. I can provide code if someone can help me fix it.
