new gmail ?

    i think gmail recently had some changes ( or at least thats what it said when i logged into the web interface) .. and due to that, it seems my postie is going thru all the folders in my Gmail , instead of Inbox..

    anyone else encounter that?

    I haven’t seen this with my gmail account.

    Are you using POP or IMAP? POP doesn’t know anything about folders.

    pop-ssl… can’t connect on port 110..

    it went thru my sent mails, triggering 337 ‘unauthorised post’ notices, and 2 successful ones

    If you are wanting your folders to be recognized you need to use IMAP-SSL on port 993.

    i don’t need it to be recognising any folders, just picking up new mails to be posted. it worked beautifully just some time back

    problem is i have 3 mails in inbox and 400+ in Sent mails .. like you mentioned.. POP doesn’t recognise folders… so i am not too sure where it’s picking up the emails from

    Did you try switching to IMAP-SSL?

    nope … my php server does not have imap extension enabled..

    Current versions of Postie do not use the IMAP extension.
