• I can’t recall where it started, but every update breaks something … if I can at least get the plugin to update, since it never fails to fail, so I have had to delete and manually install the pro version with every update … of which there seems to be one every week or so. A real time waster.

I have corresponded with developers on countless occasions.

Most recently, I told them I was hesitant to update to latest version because of this history of failure. I was told that “The Pro updating issue was resolved in version 3.2.2 – so once you are at that version, this should no longer be a problem.”
Since I was at 3.3.1, I went ahead and updated. Big mistake.

Sure the Pro version updated … but the basic one failed to update,so I had to delete and reinstall that one. Now all my customizations are lost and I can’t remember what they were.

    MORE WASTED TIME and frustration.

As other reviewers have noted, Social Warfare has become a real pain to use. Can no longer recommend.

We are very sorry that you have had a bad experience with our plugin. We believe that 99% of people are able to update without issue now, but apparently, you are not one of them. Please accept our sincerest apologies. ~ Christine

Well, going on the continued complaints that parallel mine, I’m not sure I’m buying that and not sure I wish to buy in to Social Warfare any more.

I don’t have it running as of last week. Now I have a prompt to update the basic version to 3.3.3 but no corresponding prompt to update the Pro version, which is at 3.3.2. I’ve tried deactivating and activating to no avail.

Plus, the plugin slows down page loads noticeably.

As many are finding, every update is a disaster and frustrating waste of time.

Looks to me like a case of loss of the original developer knowledge base.
