I was using Jetpack for several months when i realized its messing my images. After uninstalling, the CSS codes are stil present on the images.

  • Hi @sammymah,

Thanks for the screenshots. Lazy load images classes aren’t added via the editing options, Jetpack only adds these classes temporarily to enable the lazy load feature and this is done through HTML markup rather than the images themselves — for the reason you have mentioned.

Some of your older images don’t have the jetpack-lazy-image--handled class so this only seems to affect a few.

Is there any chance the affected images were copied from the front end of your site and pasted into the editor? I’ve been able to replicate this on my own site when following these steps and editing the image from within the post. The lazy load class isn’t present on any images I’ve uploaded and inserted from the Media Library.
