    Hi,

I just want the site administrator to see the Jetpack information, but they are showing up for ordinary users logged into the site.

I already use the “User Role Editor” plugin but there are no options to remove privileges from other users in Jetpack.

    How do I do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello, there!

By default, Jetpack only gives Jetpack stats information to Administrators, though inside your wp-admin in Jetpack > Settings you can also add or remove user roles that you want to have access to those stats.

If anyone is seeing Jetpack information that is not on the levels you have set there, then your User Role Editor plugin may be giving out extra access to those users – In that case, it would be best to reach out to the developers of that plugin to check if there is a setting that you can change to make sure that doesn’t happen.

I’m unsure if this is the exact plugin you’re using, but if so, here is their support forum to get you started:

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hello @madhattersez

I have checked these statistics display settings in Jetpack and only the administrator is set to view them. But even so, it is still possible for a common user to have access to this information.

As I said earlier, I already used the “User Role Editor” plugin to avoid this problem, but there are no options in the plugin to remove user privileges in Jetpack. That’s why I asked for help here.

    Thanks.

I was going to review the other plugins you might be using that could interfere with user settings, but it looks like Jetpack is actually not completely connected at the moment on your site:

Would you be able to try the following for me?

    1. From the wp-admin dashboard of your site, please go to Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > Manage site connection from your left-hand menu.

    2. Click the “Disconnect” button.

    3. Deactivate your Jetpack plugin by heading to Plugins > Installed Plugins and finding “Jetpack by WordPress.com.” After a few moments, activate it.

    4. Back in Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > Manage site connection, Click the “Set up Jetpack” button and continue through the approval process.

Please let me know the results of this troubleshooting and we can go from there. Thanks!

    Hi, @madhattersez

I did everything as you explained and nothing has changed.

    But thanks for your help.

It looks like reconnecting worked, as I see a positive connection to Jetpack now:

    https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=http%3A%2F%2F156dopovo.sjc.br%2F

I would recommend trying to disable the following plugins to see if they remove the ability for any user to see Jetpack’s information:

    – user-role-editor
    – classic-editor
    – white-label-cms

If none of those change the situation while deactivated, you may have to try deactivating all plugins except for Jetpack to see which one could be causing this behavior.

Past that, we wouldn’t be sure what would be causing this, as Jetpack by default only allows Administrator users to see this information – something else seems to be altering it.

Custom users or third party code are definitely outside the scope of our support – The best options for help on that would be your web host or to hire a developer / designer.

    @madhattersez

I did as you explained, again.

    It did not work either.

I think this problem is something of Jetpack itself, because when I realized the problem, my site had only 2 plugins installed, Jetpack itself and the WP Job Manager plugin. I had already disabled WP Job Manager, but it also did not work.

I’m going to disable Jetpack because I can not have this “loophole” for access to ordinary users.

    Thank you!
