customizer “activate and publish” only option
-
I’m an experienced WordPress’er and I think this plugin has great potential for what I’m trying to do, but I have some questions mostly about the Customizer:
– I’m using Divi, and the Customizer is where almost all of the theme settings are performed (like menus, header format, custom CSS). when I activate Divi from Switcha, and then go into the Customizer, the only option I see is “activate and publish” on the top.
– I know Publish is discouraged in the documentation, but how else can I customize/save the new theme without disrupting the existing theme on the front end?
– I do not use widgets but there are extensive Library items that Divi uses to copy content across the site and across multiple pages. I’ll be curious to see if this is supported by the plugin.
– does WordPress not think that this theme (Divi) is activated? In other words, is it only really activated within Switcha? It shows as activated in the Themes main area but in the customizer, it’s showing ‘activate and publish’.
– What does “apply switched theme to admin area” mean? The admin area isn’t really themed other than the standard WordPress look.
Thanks!
