• Hi Everyone,

I’m new to WordPress but I’m trying and learning as I go.
In my page there is a sidebar with a statement that
says “Click Here To Download Now” and that links to
another page. Now–I want to change that link–to link to a downloadable PDF that I want to give away. The part that I don’t know is how to change that link. I can see everything in the File/Page Source but I can’t seem to find where the original file is or PHP. Can you edit File/Page Source? Do you do it in FTP or inside WordPress?

    I appreciate any help.

  • If it is in the sidebar, check sidebar.php of the theme you are using. The link is probably hard coded there.

You can probably use the template editor from within WordPress, though I am not really too familiar with it, because I edit via FTP.

You can either change it to the pdf, or you can delete it, and add the pdf link as a sidebar text widget (more flexible and easier to change to something else in the future).
