Media & attachment URLs

  • I am not understanding the “Media & attachment URLs” setting in Yoast.

    It says that this is recommend to set to YES. If I set to NO, does this mean URL’s to images are created? What I don’t understand is what’s wrong with having url’s to images? Every image has a url.

    This is still a very confusing topic to me.

    Should this be set to YES?

    If it is set to yes does this mean images will be shown in Google search results?

    I just don’t understand what setting this to YES does.
