I’ve connected via NVA/SOAP credentials and cannot see a venmo smart button even when checkout is accessed via a phone that has used venmo in the past month.

    Hi @egs1

Thanks for reaching out to us! I created a bug report for this as I too was unable to get Venmo to show. You can follow the report here:

    Thanks again,

    This explanation fixed my issue:

    “Hi Dedi,

    Thanks for contacting WooCommerce!

There is no configuration required. Venmo is automatically presented on mobile devices to cookied Venmo users.

I enabled it with the NVA/SOAP API credentials. Did I need to do REST API credentials instead?

I’m not sure about this and neither of these need to be done in the Paypal Checkout plugin.

With PayPal Checkout installed first make sure you have the Smart Payments Button enabled.

That will let your site detect any eligible devices to show Venmo to. If you’d like to see this yourself make sure you install the Venmo app on your mobile device, as it only works on mobile currently, and once logged in make sure you head into Settings and select Connect Browsers. It looks like this on iOS.

Assuming the rest of your Venmo account is setup properly with a payment method added, visiting your store you will finally see this. ??

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions, thanks!

    Hi @egs1

Thanks for letting us know. It appears I did not have my Venmo account set up with a payment method that caused this issue. Marking as resolved.
