There is an issue with your plugin and the use of Google Adsense responsive link advertisements. When using Advanced Ads to display Google links ads – I’ve using them below the text/after article – it conflicts with ads shown in the sidebar (right). Simply put, it prevents multiple sidebar ads from showing (typically those near the bottom of the sidebar) when attempting to show more than one ad the sidebar – only showing a blank space. The only way to resolve this, without removing the link ad itself, is by placing two ads next to each other in the sidebar (above and below) and then just ONE of those ads will show and no blank space shown. Removing the Google link ads from the post/article itself immediately fixes the problem with sidebar ads not showing.

Ps.. it doesn’t matter if I’m using the Advanced Ads sidebar widget, a third-party widget, or plain html/javascript – the effect is the same.

    Hi stevenpreece,

    thanks for reaching out.

Would it be possible for me to see this in action? I would like to check if there is some error output or simply AdSense deciding to not show so many ads at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Here’s an example: https://welfareweekly.com/severely-disabled-child-left-waiting-three-years-for-special-home-adaptions/

There should be an ad at the bottom of the sidebar, but it doesn’t show when an Adsense Link unit is being used below the article text.

    Thanks for the link.

The problem is a missing or delayed call of “(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});” for the sidebar ad.

I cannot see how this might be related to Advanced Ads unless, the plugin is used to deliver code that breaks the ad. Switching on the “disable ads in the frontend” option in Advanced Ads > Settings > General would clear this. If you enable that options and the ad shows up then the conflict is in an ad code and not the plugin.

Otherwise, I would like to see both versions. Is that possible?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

have you seen my last reply? I’d be curious to learn what could case this problem.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
