So I wanted to do two things with images here. Add a featured image and add some images using the Add media button, both in the area’s of the page either above or below the Event Manager normal contents.
I see that I can add Text above or text below but if I try to embed an image, the main table of events becomes duplicated with an html artifact visible between them.
    i.e
    table copy 1
    ” alt=””/>
    Then the second copy

The same happens if I add a featured image.

In the text view of the wordpress editor I would have:

    <p>Text above</p>
    <p>CONTENTS</p>
    <p>Text</p>

    [caption id="attachment_204" align="aligncenter" width="300"]<img src="https://adventurebods.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/landscape-mountain-desert-adventure-bicycle-recreation-658729-pxhere.com_-300x200.jpg" alt="Desert Mountain Biking Event" width="300" height="200" /> Desert Mountain Biking Event[/caption]

    <p>after</p>

  • did you already tried to use placeholder #_EVENTIMAGE under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events > Default event list format and/or Single event page format

Ok thanks for coming back so promptly – no I hadnt got to the eventimage or column definitions configuration at the point I wrote. I have since changed the columns to incluide an image column and an excerpt column.
However this was not what I was hoping to do.
As I mentionned I was trying to add text and images above the table. Text enters Ok directly in the editor, but adding images is causing it to fall over.

How can I add these above the table, not in the table header section. And how can I add a featured image, as the intent is to add the events URL on facebook or other Social Media where an image pull is so important!

    Thanks Andy

    hi,

did you already tried adding stuff under events > settings > formatting > events > Default event list format header and/or Default event list format footer ?

So asking the same question is a little bit dissapointing. However to provide the reason I can tell you this was caused by plugin clash. WPSSO Core [Main Plugin]. I dont know which one needs addressing.

sorry but at the moment we are quite limited with regards to other wp plugin or theme.
