I do hope I haven’t missed the obvious here, but how can I get a catch-all response when the bot doesn’t recognize the question at all? e.g. someone types in random letters.
My first bot is working quite well, but I need this!
    Thanks so much

  • The responses are created in Watson Assistant itself. Make an “anything else” dialog node to respond to user inputs that don’t map to one of your intents.

Typically, your last dialogue in your list of dialogues would have:
    If bot recognizes… anything_else

You can then set up one or more responses asking for clarification of what the visitor was trying to say.

Hey @keithrowley. That is a very nice bot you have on your site.

Thanks so much – you just made my day! It’s my very first bot and I really enjoyed putting it together. You’ve just given my day a ‘start with a smile’! Have you any idea what companies are charging for a bot like that?
