What does _e() function and other do?

  • Hi, everyone.
    While I was digging Lester ‘GaMerZ’ Chan’s WP-POLL, I saw many _e() functions there like

    _e('Add Poll', 'wp-polls')

    And I also found

    __('Add Poll', 'wp-polls')

    Can anyone tell me what __() and _e() do on WordPress?
