Is there a page duplication plugin that works with KC?

  • I was able to duplicate pages previously, but since I upgraded recently whenever I duplicate a page the content of the new page is all merged into a single text block.

    Reading through the support forum I am not the only person experiencing this behaviour.

    I have tried at least half a dozen different page duplicator plugins, including the one recommended here: https://livecomposer.help/article/137-how-to-duplicate-existing-page, all with the same result.

    The only way I am able to duplicate a page currently is to export it using the WordPress exporter, edit the exported XML file and changing the values in the <title> and <link> tags in <item>, and then using the WordPress importer to import my edited XML file.

    Is there a page duplicator plugin which is known to work correctly with KC?

    And another tip for those of you struggling with this problem:

    • Edit the page you want to clone
    • Click the “Classic Mode” button near the top of the page
    • Select and copy the contents of the content editor
    • Click the “Edit with KingComposer” button
    • Add a new page
    • In the content editor, paste the contents you copied from the original page
    • Click the “Edit with KingComposer” button

    Yes I am facing the same problem and currently copying the shortcodes to duplicate the pages.

    But, it’s a problem for freelancers.

    Because copying and pasting shortcodes is too technical for my clients.

    They want a click button too duplicate the pages.

    I have reported KC team about this problem.

    But, haven’t got any reply yet !

    I am also a developer, and it’s too time consuming for me too! I’ve just had to make 16 copies of a page for a client and it took forever!

    For the KC developers: I compared an original page in wp_posts in the DB to a page that I created by cloning the original page. In post_content for the cloned page, all of the KC shortcodes had been stripped out, leaving just the content. This doesn’t seem to be a problem for other shortcodes, so perhaps the KC ones are malformed or something.
