Page Character Count

I’m trying to post an FAQ page for my site with a word count of 6,800 characters. I’ve checked over the code and tried posting the page with a bit less text until I got down to where it cuts me off. I’m just a few paragraphs over an apparent character limit.

If I try to post the full text it doesn’t show up on the page at all. Sometimes the text even disappears from the text editor! I’ve tried two different browsers and I’m hosting my WP so I’m wondering if there is a setting I can change to get around this or if something else is going on.

The FAQ has about 15 pictures in it, if that means anything.
