    Hi, thanks for your reply!

    I have just tried to work with the translations module you suggested and I have some questions – hoping you can help me out..

    1) What did you mean by ‘suggest using WPML for translation needs’?

    2) Can I add to the theme the translations that I create myself – without waiting for the admins of the translations module to accept my suggestions? I can download the specific translations that I need in a separate file – but how do I install them into the existing .po or .mo file on the server? Hope this makes sense.

    Though we don’t “support” this third-party plugin, we’ve done quite a bit of testing an suggest using WPML for translation needs.

    Is there a way to translate the plugin – i.e. to have all the titles such as ‘Details’, ‘Organiser’ and ‘Venue’ in my own language?

    What is most likely happening is that your language has not been translated 100% yet. Yes, you can download yourself and use an app like POEdit. Here’s the link to the translation languages.

    Another option is to use a third-party plugin like Say What? to manually translate those strings.

    WPML is a translation plugin which many people use, it looks like you’re on the right track though.

    Hi Ed,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I’ve just installed the Say What? plugin.
    And I’m trying to figure out what could be the Original string, the Text domain, and the Text context – as shown here.

    I’ve been trying to follow this tutorial, but in the page source of my event the text doesn’t seem to be wrapped in __() – as in the example given on the tutorial.

    Any ideas how to proceed?

    I’m not real familiar with Say What, I do know that we have had customers enjoy success with it.

    I have installed Loco Translate which is free and seems to do the job of translating whatever is on the screen quite well. Recommend this plugin.
