• Many of the features that you will need for an event calendar cost extra. By the time you are finished paying for EVERYTHING you would have spent nearly $500 on an annual basis for this plugin.

If the company is going to charge extra for additional features, they need to have a bundle package. Otherwise this plugin is useless… no wonder it is free.

    Hi @mje0013,

    Thanks for reaching out ??

The Events Calendar – which is, of course, completely free – packs in a lot of great functionality and for many users that’s all they need.

For other users who require a little more functionality, they don’t typically need to purchase all of our products – they can just select the ones they are interested in and, consequently, typical costs are far, far lower than what you have suggested.

For those who truly require everything we offer, you’re right – it would currently cost around that number to buy those licenses … but, again, that applies to very few users (even then, given the combined scope of features and functionality they’d be purchasing, it’s absolutely a fair price).

That to say, I do feel a 1-star review is somewhat low given it’s concerned not with The Events Calendar itself or the things that plugin offers, but rather the cost of completely optional plugins.

Even so, we really do appreciate you taking the time to write this review: if there are any other points you wish to flag, or if you have any other questions about our pricing strategy (or anything else), please just let me know.
