“Divi Visual Builder Timeout” while By Book Table is active

  • Apparently, My Book Table isn’t compatible with Divi Visual Builder. Whenever BMT is Active (I have premium), I get a “DIVI VISUAL BUILDER TIMEOUT” error pop-up. I can’t use Visual Builder unless I deactivate both MBT plugins — Kind of a hassle, and a problem in that the store isn’t available while I have the plugins deactivated, and none of the MBT material is visible on the page when it’s deactivated — so I can’t see to customize anything.

    I contacted my host, GoDaddy, to see if they saw a problem, and this is what I received back:

    “”I have tried upgrading PHP resources but it did not resolve the issue. The issue is caused by a conflict of Divi theme (Divi builder) with MyBookTable Bookstore by Author Media plugin. That issue occurred after the Divi theme update to version 3.11.1 on 07/30/2018. The current version of the theme can’t edit DOM objects and that is why your editor won’t load on https://www.billweissauthor.com/books-2 page.”

    Any chance this is something that’s being resolved?

    Otherwise, I love the plugin.

    Yes, we are looking into it. I use Divi on my personal site.

    Sweet! I absolutely love My Book Table. Other than this Divi-related issue, MBT has worked seamlessly for me. I know you folks are always on top of things.

    Hi @writerspark,

    We’ve been testing MyBookTable extensively with Divi, and we have not been able to reproduce any timeouts of any sort. Could you provide more details on exactly what you do to see this error? A screenshot of the error in question and the steps leading up to it would be ideal. If possible, could you try disabling your other plugins other than MyBookTable to see if it’s not caused by a combination and MyBookTable and some other plugin?
