    Dear Gutenberg Team,

I already have a lot of content created using the existing Editor. Could you please answer a few questions :

    1. If I switch to Gutenberg and go, what will happen to the existing content, which includes a lot of shortcodes.

    2. Will there be any security problems with the existing content?

    3. Will I need to redo all the existing content using Gutenberg so that they will display correctly (would take a lot of time, effort and frustration if that is the case) ?

    4. Is there a way to use both of the Editors in parallel?

    Thanks

    Another question:

Will you provide any tools for quick and reliable conversion of the existing content to Gutenberg?

    Thanks

    Hiya,

Gutenberg is only the editor, existing content will remain as it is, and does not change in any way.

When opening a post in Gutenberg, it will be displayed in a Classic Block, you can click the little ellipsis on the block and it has an option to convert it into blocks.

You can install the Classic Editor plugin, which will give you the ability to use both if you wish, keep in mind though that new editor formatted text (blocks) is not guaranteed to work if you try to edit it using the classic editor, and unexpected things may happen.
