• You have to buy the Pro version if you want to customize the email the user gets. What they do get is a receipt from PayPal that they may or may not associate with signup to my site. I don’t know if I want to spend $60 just for use of that feature. We’ll see how it goes.

    Hi @enterpin,

I’m the developer of this plugin. The free version of this plugin has never had an autoresponder feature, that’s only ever been a pro feature.

I have a number of other plugins, and I have never in any of my plugins removed a free feature and made it paid. I haven’t and won’t do it because it’s not a nice thing to do and I know it would make a lot of people mad. I use WordPress for all my sites and use a lot of free plugins and I wouldn’t want that done to myself.

Generally speaking, PayPal sends out emails when a sale is made, refund is given, etc. So you can fully use this plugin without the pro version. The benefit of having the pro version is that you can customize the emails that are sent out or turn off the PayPal ones if you wish.

I hope that you will consider changing your review, I would appreciate it if you did! I’m a developer that really cares, and I would not remove a feature from a plugin.

    Thanks,
    Scott
