Using a lot of server CPU?

    I’m a huge fan of your plugin and it does really seem to make my website a lot faster.

    I am just wondering–it seems to use a large amount of my available CPU. This month so far it’s used 302 839 executions, which is almost 10x as many as my next most CPU-intensive plugin.

    I am wondering if I have maybe incorrectly setup the caching system, or some other problem on my end that I’m not aware of? Siteground support always tell me to turn it off, but I don’t want to!

    Hello, my friend,

    As far as our own tests are concerned I have no reason to believe that the plugin uses a lot of CPU. It uses “some” but far from a lot! And we haven’t had any complaints or issues around this subject from any of our users so far. However, if there is anything interesting or useful that might come out of this conversation, it will be very helpful!

    Now the most CPU intensive part of the plugin is image processing and this only happens once per image per breakpoint. So I wouldn’t imagine it poses a significant burden on the CPU.

    If I may ask, what do these 302.839 executions refer to exactly and how does Siteground count them?
